"North America: Birdemic"

Major: Cyber Security
Freshman, College of Computing and Digital Media
Abstract
Since 1970, 30% of North American bird populations have been annihilated. The rate at which these bird populations are disappearing, the consequent damage to local ecosystems will be irreparable. This data only recently became available, causing a disconnect between researchers and conservation specialists. Even under these urgent circumstances, legislative bodies are blatantly ignorant and are reversing the few measures previously put in place to mitigate environmental collapse. This paper delves into what is required of North America to reverse the myriad ways that birds are being eradicated and attempts to pinpoint the exact causes of avian decline, in the face of legislative ignorance.
